RAMBO: LAST BLOOD – SNEAK PREVIEW
By Mike Koichopolos

Such as the last Rambo movie, they can get away with a lot more graphic, brutal violence since the old Rambo’s. And it also helps when you make them Rated “R”.

This one is the most violent and has gore. You are not going to get an Oscar performance or win awards with these Rambo movies. So don’t go in expecting to be amazed by the story that unfolds. I liked the story. I liked many parts of watching this movie more than I liked the end.

The ending felt rushed. I was eating this film up for at least the first half of the film, like a kid in a candy store. I was losing my mind. Couldn’t believe I was watching yet another Rambo movie. I remember seeing the first one so well. I lost a vote, and we all went to see FIRST BLOOD. No one had heard of it.

I voted for TRON, and lost. I was so surprised that the actor from Rocky had another success on his hands. And had to tell all the guys at school how cool of a movie it was. And that summer it went on to be a success and helped solidify a career for Stallone as a leading man action movie star.

As the title suggests this is the LAST BLOOD. However, I’m sure we all thought the franchise was over decades ago. Same with the Rocky’s. And now I hear he’s thinking of doing a sequel to Tango and Cash, Cash and Tango. So never say never. I almost feel like this was another script that they altered so it could fall into a Rambo franchise. It’s alway nice to see Stallone in his Rambo Character.

You get what you expect with this film. I give this film a decent 6.5 out of 10.

WHAT OTHERS SAY:

The fifth in the franchise, which despite its name may not be the last: over the final credits there is a sentimental greatest-hits montage of Rambo moments over the years, ending with an unexpected present-day shot of John Rambo riding off into the sunset on his horse. Are there more battles still to be won for this great warrior? – The Guardian

Good luck with Rambo this weekend, @TheSlyStallone. I loved it, and when it’s a hit I’m going to buy you a new knife to celebrate. – Arnold Schwarzenegger

Stallone has already said that he’d be willing to make another Rambo movie if this one proves successful. We can only hope that if he does, he takes it a little more seriously.  – The Hollywood Reporter
